Culture Jam

I chose this image to use as almost a magazine cover to display something I truly care about. This woman was a victim of an acid attack, and after yesterday I decided I wanted to appropriate this image to challenge the beauty myth as well as show women the reality of the suffering of women worldwide. I wanted to emphasize the fact that she is human, thus the generic magazine cover phrases. I didn’t want to put too many words on the page because the few that I did use were enough to speak for the image.
